The Power of Understanding Your Period Cycle for Work Purposes
Week 2 – You are at your strongest! Faster, stronger, easier to focus, you know you can tackle anything at your best.
Week 3 – PMS starts. Your hormones are dropping, you know you will have a shorter temper, or you might feel more sensitive to a colleague’s or a boss’s comments.
Week 4 – You will feel hungrier and tired. Have some healthy snacks throughout the day, and rest more that week.
Week 1– Your period comes, some lucky ones might not have pains, but others with conditions such as endometriosis, might be in agonising pain, cramping, nausea, and they are putting a brave face to do their jobs. Have some painkillers, or a hot bottle around you. Your strength declines and you are more susceptible to physical injuries.
Being consciously aware of our hormonal cycle can help you at work. Hormones are not the same at 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60, supporting each other at work, starts with our well-being.
Do we need a period emoji? Yes we do, is natural.
